This 9-month initiatory journey will give you the tools, knowledge, facilitation skills, rituals, ceremonies, curriculum, and a proven to be successful business model to your very own Girls Groups.
This training arose out of the impulse of our collective need to re-village ourselves by way of mentoring, guiding, and initiating our girls…and lets be honest, in the spirit of reciprocity—making a living doing so!
It’s through the inner work, deep listening, & holy tending that we rise as a Matriarchal Leader - a woman worthy of imitation. Yet it takes a pocket full of tools, skill, understanding, and finesse to work with preteen and teen girls as they leave behind the wonder of childhood and step into the changes and challenges of adolescence.
For an intimate group of you (there are only 12 seats), we will provide a safe container to dive into the unintegrated parts of your own adolescence, and bring healing and perspective to those challenging years.
This stage of life is generally overlooked and labelled as “challenging.” Because of this, in tandem with our villageless lifestyles, our girls are in sincere need of support and guidance. They are hungry for belonging.
Through this training you will be a part of the solution while bringing in extra income you and/or your family needs. Your investment will pay itself off in a matter of months with just one thriving group.

01
BECOMING A VILLAGE AUNTIE
In Module One, we begin by welcoming your younger self, attuning to the needs, support, and love that she may or may not have had. Through rekindling our ancestral maps, nature connection, ceremony & ritual, embodiment practices, and the art of council you will have space to heal and integrate the tender parts of your inner adolescent so you can court your unique gifts and rise as an undomesticated, authentic, Matriarchal Leader & guide for the girls.

Ceremonial Rites of Passage for our daughters & girls
We will explore the landscape of human and soul development through the lens of adolescence and the pillars of Rites of Passage. In this module, we dive deep into preteen and teen developmental needs, puberty, and mental health issues today. You will leave with a robust understanding of this complex and critical phase of life along with the ceremonies and Rites of Passage that support a healthy journey through.

A Journey through the elements
In Module 3, you will deepen and strengthen your relationship to your indigenous soul through the sacred elements of: Earth, Water, Fire & Air. Together we will explore each element, one by one, through our Girls Group curriculum: Journey Through the Elements, as well as rituals, & hands on skills & crafts. You will leave with a deeper & embodied connection to the elements and experience the curriculum we will provide you with to start up your Girls Group.

THE PRACTICAL ART OF CASTING THE CIRCLE
Learn to create sacred space while leading enlivening, fun, and connecting circles for preteen and teen girls. Here we will explore everything you need to know from the nitty gritty of emails, planning (AKA business model)—to group dynamics—to working with parents—the art of facilitation and so much more to ensure you will be ready for a thriving and dynamic Girls Group community.

THE WOMAN BEHIND WAKEFUL NATURE
Hey beauty, I'm johannah…
10 years ago I started Wakeful Nature as a means to filling an initiatory VOID in our culture. As a girl traversing the complex landscapes of adolescence, I was alone and found ways to self-initiate.
Too many of us did this, and I felt the youth in my life needed and deserved so much more. Not only did they need Rites of Passage, but they needed ongoing mentorship and a welcome sanctuary—over and over again. Their needs directly informed the birth of “GIRLS GROUP.”
Over the years this work has grown and I’ve created a successful business model that can provide you with good income while working outside of the dominant, industrial work complex that depletes us as cycling women. This model and work will lend itself to you living in service while creating abundance in your life.
I am over the moon to now share this offering, very much birthed from my heart and soul, as well as share the lessons, trials, & skills I’ve cultivated over the past twenty years as an educator with a select few of you. Because the world needs more sanctuaries led and held by embodied, loving, soulcentric women…especially for our youth.
I am here to support you in becoming the Village Auntie and cultural changemaker you were born to be—on behalf of a more beautiful, thriving world.

HOW OFTEN DO WE MEET?
We will meet on a weekday TBD at 10:30am (MST), 2x a month. Plus a 1x month group council practice as close to the new and full moon as possible.
WHAT AMOUNT OF WORK SHOULD I EXPECT?
There will be videos, readings and/or resources sent out to participants each month. However, there are no assignments that are required.
HOW DO I APPLY?
The first step is filling out the application below. You will be directed to a calendar to set up a clarity call with Johannah where you will have a 45 min, 1:1 meeting to go over any lingering questions and leave with clarity as to whether or not this is the right program for you.
DO I NEED PRIOR EXPERIENCE?
While having experience working with children of any age will be helpful, it is not entirely necessary. You will be learning facilitation skills and tools for working specifically with preteen and teen girls.
WHAT IF I CANNOT MAKE A CALL?
We encourage you to carve out the 2x/ month call out of your life to be present and engaged in the live calls. If you cannot make it however, we will send you a recording of the call.
WILL I BECOME CERTIFIED?
Yes. After completing the training and our exit evaluation you will be a certified Wakeful Nature Girls Group facilitator!
